I was once given this lighthearted insight After laughing at this, I took a moment to reflect, and connected the dots with one of my favourite pieces of advice:
Read that again carefully and reflect for a moment on what it means.
More than ever, leaders find themselves overwhelmed by the dynamic external and internal environment. The challenge is where to focus and how to act with impact.
Consider for a moment a situation you feel the need to engage and ask yourself โwhat is the unique contribution that ONLY I can make ? Having this clear in your mind will allow you to move forward with intention.
This is a great question to start a conversation with a colleague, report or team โwhat is the unique contribution that ONLY you can make ?โ and reciprocating with what ONLY you can do.
Now youโre focussing on the strengths of the individual or team, and mapping out how to collaborate successfully.
